To some degree, although it requires patience. The active ingredient in most (if not) all the creams, the former location of the OTC is a concentration of 2% hydroquinone, and see in May, two to four months before the start of the results. Best: Ask your doctor write a prescription strength hydroquinone 4% (about $ 20 for a 1-ounce cream). A little goes a long way, and you will see positive results much faster! But if you go the way of the OTC, note: many of them simply do not work, or work so slowly that you end up paying more in the long term. My hydroquinone 4%, and has worked almost immediately disappear from all my spots! Good luck to you!

(I am the product of Olay, Neutrogena, Roc & use ambitious, but nothing works better, faster and cheaper than the prescription of 4%!)
